Served as Design Director on the 2007 MLB Mediaplayer. Led a team of designers and programmers on a cross-company project involving FrogDesign, Microsoft, and Major League Baseball. The aim was to create a next-generation mediaplayer utilizing Microsoft's Silverlight platform and showcasing MLB's rich content. Our demo of the new player was presented at the MIX `07 conference where it met with lots of positive press and rave reviews.

Cupid's Lab is a project that I co-founded with my business partner, Tobin Schwaiger-Hastanan. Our aim is to create a new brand of online dating which is based primarily on leveraging the power of matchmaking and social networking. It is a multistage, multiplatform initiative that we believe has the potential to dramatically change the online dating landscape and has already garnered some early attention and positive pre-beta press.

Led a design team comprised of members from MLB.com and Portland-based Ensequence, to create a unique new way of experiencing baseball online. We created "The Mosaic", which enables the user to monitor 6 simultaneus live streams. It also allows users to get access to detailed content related to a single game. This project was an Emmy Finalist in 2006, and an Emmy Winner in 2007! It has received an enormous amount of press, and has been featured on ESPN, FOX, USA Today, The New York Times, and a slew of other publications.

Worked as lead designer on Major League Baseball's website. It's an incredibly complicated process due to the sheer amount of information required to appear on the page due to either contractual agreements, business needs, or internal arrangements. I also lead the design effort on the 2005, and 2006 versions of the site, as well as the 2003 Worldseries.com site.

Worked with the Marley Family and designers from Palm Pictures to create a new online portal for one of music's greatest legends. My responsibilities in the project included the design of a deep multi-section site, robust mediaplayer, fan club, online store, online advertising packages and other related off-line collateral.

Headed a cross-company design team to re-envision the CollegeSportsTelevision.com website and the 200+ related university websites. This was an incredibly large project which needed to be turned around quickly because of an absurdly aggressive deadline. Weeks after completing this project, CSTV was sold to CBS Sportsline for a reported $350 million.

The original MLB.com icons were designed back in 2002, and I felt they were long overdue for an update. I did a quick inventory of their use across the site and generated a small list to base the redesign on. My intention was to create a slick, clean family of icons that worked at a number of different sizes and I think these fit the bill nicely.

Led the design effort to create the personal website of Yankee captain, and future Hall-of-Famer, Derek Jeter. The goal was to create a site that showcased his athletic achievements and celebrity status, while calling attention to his charitable foundation, Turn 2.

Designed an embedded mediaplayer utilizing Microsoft's Silverlight platform. The embeddable player makes it possible to associate a video clip with a relevant news story on MLB.com. It also makes it possible for users to instantly send a video to a friend, or embed the video on their Myspace page.
